We had the most fantastic 20 km tour through the Chalke Valley. We were lucky enough to be led by Lex (the owner). The location is stunning. The bikes are top notch, and Lex is friendly professional and will set you up for a very memorable experience. We will definitely be going back.

Such a fantastic day trip from London - so easy on the train from Clapham Junction - where Alexis met us on the platform. After a really useful, quick, and informative safety briefing - pitched perfectly for my three kids, aged 17, 17 and 14, with just the right amount of info! - we were on our bikes and away before we knew it. Despite the weather being a bit 'weather'-ish (!), Alexis took us on the most beautiful route - the landscape really is wonderful and it was so great to see my London kids getting happily covered in mud! - ending up at The Queen's Head pub for a late hot chocolate and pizza lunch! We absolutely LOVED the bikes - the seats can go up and down depending on the terrain - and, with Alexis's top tips about how best to position ourselves - we felt like real pros whizzing down hills that we never would have found (or dared o try!) by ourselves. We were back on the train to London the same day, tired and happy and planning our return trip. The area looked SO beautiful in October but this is definitely a return-trip activity, so we can see it and do it in every season (and weather).

We absolutely loved our experience with Cranborne Chase Escapes! The high-end e-bikes were the best we’ve ever tried, and the route took us through breathtaking scenery, especially magical in autumn with the changing colours of the leaves. Our guide (and owner), Lex, kept us laughing and learning with fascinating stories and fun facts about the Chalke Valley. Even a dramatic tire pop mid-ride didn’t slow us down, Lex had it sorted in minutes and turned it into part of the adventure! We capped it all off with a stop at a wonderfully quaint English pub. A perfect family day out with the teens over half-term!
